RESEARCH INTEREST

My project is defined to identify the signaling pathways activated in response to catechin treatment that lead to the inhibition of vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation. The elucidation of these pathways may provide insight into the mechanism through which red wine polyphenols can induce cardioprotection.

I grew up in the tropical island of Puerto Rico, also known as “La Isla del Encanto”, rich in tradition and tropical flavors. I enjoy cooking Puerto Rican and Mexican food. I also enjoy reading and watching movies in my spare time.
