RESEARCH INTEREST

Ankyrins are a ubiquitously expressed family of multifunctional membrane adaptors which link diverse membrane proteins to the spectrin–based membrane cytoskeleton. I am currently working on the characteristics of a novel ankyrin isoform, mouse ankyrin-G190, including its gene structure, localization, polarity and its interaction with H/K-ATPase in renal epithelia.
