RESEARCH INTEREST

I like science in general. My undergrad degree is in Physics and most of my research there was in optics, robotics, and computer modelling.  In the Benos lab, my work will likely center on acid sensing ion channels and their modulation by inflammation, inflammatory cytokines, and various anti-inflammatory drugs in the context of human gliomas.

Beyond science, I enjoy playing intramural sports, video games, and finding new ways to waste time.  Dale doesn't like that too much, so I try and waste my time rather than the labs'. Not suprisingly, I read mainly sci-fi/fantasy novels, but lately I've been reading books about the old west.  Beyond all that stuff, I don't get out much.
